Welcome to FFMV!

Things to note before requesting an appointment:

We have a specific service area based on your zip code.

We are a small mobile practice consisting of one veterinarian and one assistant.

Appointment requests are reviewed before being accepted. We may reach out to you for more information before accepting the appointment request.

We are not an emergency or urgent care service.

New clients should expect an initial comprehensive visit so we can get to know you and your cat and develop an appropriate care plan.

Prepare for your appointment

1) Be sure to fill out forms sent to you to save time during the appointment.

2) Give PVP (pre-visit pharmaceuticals) - If your cat has been prescribed PVP in the past, we recommend giving it as prescribed.

3) Sequester your cat. We will text or call when we are heading your way. Sequester your cat in a small room, bathroom, or cat carrier prior to our arrival.

What to expect at your appointment

Our first visit is an opportunity for us to get to know you and your cat. We will review your cat's medical history, discuss your concerns and goals, perform a physical examination, and develop recommendations tailored to your cat's needs.

Because every cat and household is unique, the initial consultation helps us determine the most appropriate plan moving forward. In some cases, this may include diagnostics and treatment through our practice. In others, we may recommend referral to a full-service hospital, urgent care facility, emergency hospital, or veterinary specialist if those resources would better meet your cat's needs.

We park near your home and respectfully enter to meet you and your cat.

We discuss our findings, recommendations, and associated costs before proceeding with diagnostics or treatments.

Diagnostics and treatments are performed as agreed upon during the visit.

We leave you with recommendations and a plan moving forward. Depending on your cat's needs, this may include follow-up care through our practice, home monitoring, additional diagnostics, or referral to another veterinary facility.

Payment is collected prior to departure.
